Torin Douglas is media correspondent for BBC News, working for programmes on Radio 4, Radio 5 Live and BBC World Service, news bulletins on radio and TV, the BBC News Channel, and bbc.co.uk. He covers stories about all aspects of the media, from its content and personalities, to ownership and economics, and regulation and social impact.
He has been covering media issues for more than 30 years, including spells on the Economist, The Times, the Sunday Times and the Independent. For many years he wrote a media column for Marketing Week and before that he was on the staff of campaign. He is the author of The Complete Guide to Advertising, a fellow of the Communications Advertising and Marketing (CAM) Foundation and former chairman of the Broadcasting Press Guild.
